Non-JUMP(Permanent) Adapters

Ok, so maybe you like what you hear about the JUMP Interface. But maybe, JUST MAYBE, you think, "that's swell and all, but I know I'm only gonna use 2 controllers so isn't there a smaller/cheaper/other way I could buy controllers from that wonderful JUMP site that would work with my computer?" Wonder no more! Yes, if you're interested, we will modify pretty much any of the controllers which will work with DirectPad Pro. Physically, they will NOT be compatible with the JUMP Interface, but they'll work on the same computer

What are the advantages of a non-JUMP adapter?
bulletSmaller interface which connects directly to your PC's parallel port
bulletLess expensive if you're only going to use the same 2 controllers for everything
bulletWe can adapt more types of controllers such as Genesis(3 and 6 button types), Playstation, Atari 2600 controllers, etc... (Be aware that for most other types of controllers, only one controller can be attached at a time so you cannot hook up multiple controllers like you can for NES / SNES controllers.)

What are the advantages of a JUMP interface?

bulletIts flexible design lets you convert all types of NES and SNES controllers and switch between them effortlessly
bulletIf a controller breaks, it is easy to adapt another one to use instead. If a controller breaks with the non-JUMP permanent type of interface, it is much more difficult to swap that controller with another one because you must sever a connection that was designed to be permanent
bulletIt is much easier to convert a controller to connect to a JUMP interface than it is to get it to connect directly to the computer. If you get a JUMP interface box, the hardest part is finished for you

Those are the basic advantages to both sides. If you're interested in building your own JUMP Interface, the plans are on this site. If you want to build a non-JUMP type of interface, just download the DirectPad Pro drivers from the drivers page and follow the instructions which are included with the files.  If you have any questions, please send them our way. And if you want to place an order for either type of interface, contact us at JUMP@dreamcliff.com or visit our Order page for more details.
